His journey began in New York City, where he studied trumpet performance at Brooklyn College. A chance internship in the school’s recording studio sparked a passion for audio engineering that would change the course of his life. From recording Chet Baker in Belgium to working at the legendary Hit Factory and A&R Studios in New York, Meyerson honed his skills alongside some of the best in the industry.

It was in film scoring, however, that Meyerson truly left his mark. Collaborating with legendary composers such as Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, John Powell, Harry Gregson-Williams, and Danny Elfman, his name is credited on iconic projects like Dune: Part One and Two, The Gladiator movies, Inception, Dunkirk, Pirates of the Caribbean, Batman:The Dark Knight and Interstellar
Over the years, Meyerson has earned four Cinema Audio Society Awards and thre Grammy Awards — recognition of his unique ability to elevate music into an immersive, emotional experience. Beyond the mixing desk, he is also a dedicated educator, sharing his expertise through masterclasses with Mix With The Masters, Berklee College of Music, and Abbey Road Institute, mentoring the next generation of audio professionals.

Alan Meyerson’s artistry lies in transforming a score into a living, breathing sonic journey — a perfect balance between creativity and technical precision. His fingerprints are all over the soundtracks that have shaped our cinematic memories.
